UNFEIGNED LOVE: CAROLINE CHISHOLM : Caroline Chisholm has been rightly called the greatest woman in Australian history. This new 192 page book, released in 2008 to mark the 200th anniversary of her birth, has original memoirs from the 1850s, lots of interesting colonial stories about her, lively exchanges of letters, and her own writing. It includes Mrs Chisholm's own Female Immigration Considered, which records her work with new female migrants, most of them homeless and unemployed, and reveals her independent spirit and dedicated commitment. There are 21 images, too, one being Caroline in her late teens.
