I love this mag. It's packed full of all sorts of diy hints, tips, projects and diagrams. Easy to read, well laid out. I do get sick of the 'readers digest' marketing mail from signing up to this subscription, but I do love the mag and I find the ads useful too because I can check out websites for products, which usually leads me to searching and viewing other sites not advertised in handyman.

I've bought a subscription to this mag and am a little disappointed with the "independent" review of products, everything seems to be great. I can't help but think it's an ad disguised as a editorial opinion. Also Readers Digest the owners of the mag constantly send me promotional material saying I'm "one of the chosen few" that are about to win a house, car etc, really annoying. Though it does have some interesting articles

I might be a bit biased (I write for this mag), but it really is the best thing going if you’re trying to renovate, repair or maintain your home and the things in it. Great ideas, fantastic detail, and the greatest stuff-ups ever done by home owners. This mag is like having a friend in the business. If you want to have a go, it’s there with you. If you think the job’s beyond you, it guides you to help. Pick up one at the hardware store or newsagent and you’ll tackle anything!
