Trends keep changing and the hospitality industry is evolving faster than ever. It is becoming harder and harder to pick what will happen next, where will be busy and where will be quiet?

Down south in Dunsborough and Margaret River, cafés & restaurants have thrived in the last 6-12 months. Because of this we got our resident tipsters Peter & Noel from Waterfront Apartments in Dunsborough to give us their tips on what to do and where to go on your next visit.

We travelled further than ever in this issue to collect our stories. It was great to spend time in Broome for OktoberFest at Matso's while everyone else was feeling the cold in Perth and Ingrid went on her own culinary journey to Paris.

The Swan Valley celebrated 180 years since planting its first grape vine, but why don't people visit during the week? It's so close, great value and heaps of fun.

We have always had trouble finding chefs, baristas and waiters in hospitality and for many, a sponsorship is the answer, but what are the real advantages of the 457 Visa?

Jeremy suggested a feature on reduced alcohol Beer and was right on the money as we found that the majority of craft brewers were in the process of developing their own.

Last issue I announced that I was asked to be the ambassador of Food Bank. I am pleased to say that Food Bank opened its new facility in Perth to help feed homeless and less fortunate people. If you can help by donating unwanted food please do.

And finally my wife and I would like to introduce to the world my son Sebastian who was born in the last days of producing this issue.
