It’s time to celebrate what it is to be an Australian quiltmaker and also to recognise the great talent and creativity we have in this vast country.

It’s been a real pleasure to put together this issue and research and explore all the wonderful achievements of Australian quilters. Inside you will find a selection of projects that feature either images of Australia or Australian-themed fabrics, or both! We start with Sarah Fielke’s Aussie, Aussie, Aussie. The title is a play on the Australia chant used at many sporting events, while the quilt’s design is an interpretation of our flag.
