who’s news
In a gown pulled from the Versace archives and a custom bag adorned with artwork by her children, Blake Lively made a dazzling return to the Met Gala on May 4. But the star’s brightest accessory was her smile, which may have been due to the announcement, just moments before her grand entrance, that her 16-month legal battle with Justin Baldoni was over.
The pair had spent months locked in a bitter backandforth of lawsuits over alleged behaviour on the set of It Ends with Us in 2023–24 and in the months that followed. Then, in an unexpected twist, lawyers for both sides issued a rare joint statement announcing the case had been resolved just two weeks before it was due to go to trial. The agreement ensures the terms…
AUSSIE A DVENTURES
TARON EGERTON
He’s a favourite to play James Bond, and Egerton, 36, certainly looked the part as he emerged from the waves at Bondi Beach with girlfriend Brooks Nader, 29. The couple, who only recently confirmed their romance, couldn’t keep their hands off each other as they soaked up some sun in Australia, where they have been enjoying time together while the actor films here.
SYDNEY SWEENEY
She may have already spent time Down Under filming Anyone But You back in 2023, but ahead of shooting the upcoming live-action film of anime series Gundam on the Gold Coast, Sweeney, 28, made sure to take in the sights in the Harbour City. Ticking off the tourist attractions, she visited Taronga Zoo, attended an AFL game and climbed the Harbour Bridge.…
who’s news
Angelina Jolie has scored herself a victory in her long-running legal battle with ex-husband Brad Pitt. According to court documents, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge sided with the actress, 50, on May 4, ruling that Pitt, 62, can’t force her to turn over a set of private emails tied to the sale of her stake of French winery Château Miraval, which they purchased together in 2012.
“This is an important victory for Ms Jolie,” Jolie’s attorney, Paul Murphy, shared in a statement. “The decision shows that Mr Pitt was completely out of bounds when he sought access to obviously privileged documents.”
Last October, Pitt’s legal team submitted into evidence several communications to and from his ex’s team regarding the 2021 sale of her stake in the property – which…
GUILTY AS CHARGED
Britney Spears has been given a slap on the wrist after pleading guilty to a charge of reckless driving. The 44-year-old was represented in court on May 4 by her lawyer, Michael A. Goldstein, who entered the plea on her behalf.
Spears was arrested in March after she was caught driving fast and erratically in southern California, and was initially charged with driving while under the combined influence of alcohol and at least one drug. She was released on bail the following day and voluntarily entered a substance abuse treatment program a few weeks later, something her lawyer confirmed she had recently completed. The singer was able to plead guilty to the lesser charge as a first-time offender and because she was willing to undergo treatment.

STILL ROCKING
After six decades in the business, legendary rock band The Rolling Stones are still celebrating milestone achievements, recently announcing their 25th album. Titled Foreign Tongues, the 14-track release, which is out on July 10, is set to be a star-studded affair, featuring artists like Paul McCartney, The Cure’s Robert Smith, Steve Winwood and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith. It will also include an appearance from their late drummer Charlie Watts, with recordings made before his 2021 passing.
“It kicks ass,” Conan O’Brien said of the new album while hosting its launch party in Brooklyn on May 5.…
BUB ON BOARD
A baby is on the way for Beanie Feldstein and her wife, Bonnie-Chance Roberts, with the pair announcing the happy news in a joint post on Instagram. “Limited edition Scouse Beanie Baby coming soon!” the couple shared in the caption, alongside a carousel of images that included a shot of Feldstein, 32, posing with her pregnant belly.
Feldstein’s friends and former co-stars flocked to the comments section to share their excitement. Booksmart director Olivia Wilde gushed that the little one was the “luckiest baby”, jokingly adding, “And I’m finally a grandma!”
Amanda Seyfried also sent her congratulations, while pal Ben Platt commented, “The universe is healing.”…
ANOTHER ADDITION
Cameron Diaz and husband Benji Madden have announced that there is a new member of their family. The Good Charlotte rocker, 47, shared the exciting news on Instagram on May 5, revealing their third addition’s name: Nautas.
“Cameron and I are happy, excited and feeling so blessed to announce the birth of our third child,” he gushed. “Welcome to the world, Son! We love life with our family – our kids are healthy and happy, and we are grateful!”
The musician shared the news alongside a snap of a playing card for a Nautas Madden character that explained the moniker means “sailor, navigator, voyager, one who embarks on a journey and fears not the unknown”.
Diaz, 53, was quick to comment on the post, sharing a series of red heart…
FAMILY OF FIVE
The York family has a reason to celebrate. Princess Eugenie, 36, and husband Jack Brooksbank, 40, are expecting their third child in the UK summer.
“Baby Brooksbank due 2026!” Eugenie captioned a photo on Instagram of her two sons, August, 5, and Ernest, 2, looking at an ultrasound of the baby.
“His Majesty The King has been informed and is delighted with the news,” Buckingham Palace said in its own statement following the announcement.
The infant will not have a title, but will be 15th in the line of succession, pushing Prince Edward down a spot.
It comes after a difficult few months that have seen Eugenie’s father stripped of his prince title and forced out of his home in Royal Lodge. Andrew Mountbatten-
Windsor, 66, was also arrested in…
BARING ALL
She may have become a household name by straddling Mark Wahlberg in nothing but a pair of Calvin Kleins, but when it comes to details about her own life, Kate Moss has been surprisingly demure. That is, until now, with new biopic Moss & Freud set to spill all her secrets. The project has the full approval of the supermodel, who serves as executive producer.
British newspaper The Sun reported that scenes show Moss as she “racks up lines of coke to snort, leads her near-naked chauffeur into a sex club on a dog lead and almost gets killed in a car crash”.
The film centres on her friendship with celebrated artist Lucian Freud, who painted Moss naked while she was pregnant in 2002 with her daughter, Lila. Ellie Bamber…
SEPARATE WAYS
Less than a year after they went public with their romance, Will Arnett and Carolyn Murphy are no longer together. TMZ reported that they called it quits “a few months ago”.
People magazine confirmed that the actor, 56, was dating the model and environmental advocate, 52, in September 2025, after she joined her beau backstage to see Sean Hayes following a performance of his West End play, Good Night, Oscar. The couple made their red carpet debut at the London premiere of Arnett’s film Is This Thing On? the next month.
“We have a real ease with each other and she’s just such a generous-of-spirit person, and that’s what I love,” Arnett told People at the time. “One of the many things that I love about her.”
The short relationship…
