Losing Nanny is a raw and honest story of a little girl who experiences the loss
of her grandmother.
She attempts to find her Nanny before surrendering to the painful, yet necessary
process of grieving. Inspired by personal experiences, it invites children to feel the
emotions and ask questions that arise when losing a loved one.
It encourages the reader to begin their own journey through grief by following the little
girl’s experience told in rhyme and hand drawn watercolour illustrations that subtly
reflect the stages of grief through colour associations.
