MODERN MADRID
Martín and Nina Varsavsky are a couple whose story is defined by their global background, entrepreneurial spirit and family values.
After living in various countries, including Argentina and the US, Martín decided to build his home in Madrid. The property is located in the affluent area of La Moraleja, with views of the Sierra de Guadarrama mountains, and he named it “Casa Vars”.
Years later, after moving around the world, the couple renovated the house to adapt it to suit family life with their three children together, plus Martín’s four children from a previous relationship, who visit frequently.
The house reflects their approach to life: very bright and functional yet warm. Nina laughs as she explains that it’s impossible to place furniture against the walls because there isn’t a single…

CHARLIE’S ANGELS REUNITE
The original Charlie’s Angels stars – Kate Jackson, Jaclyn Smith and Cheryl Ladd – reunited to mark the show’s 50th anniversary at a special event in Hollywood last week. Posing together at PaleyFest LA, the trio were greeted with a standing ovation and cheers from the audience at the Dolby Theatre.
The series debuted in September 1976, at a time when there were just three major TV networks in the US. The first two of the show’s five seasons were top-ten hits for ABC. Ending in 1981, it prompted several major spin-offs, including the 2000 feature film.
“I knew the show was different, special and unique – three women chasing danger, instead of getting rescued,” Jaclyn told the audience at the event. Kate added: “We made an…
FROM HIGHGROVE TO MIAMI
While his countrymen were going on egg hunts and toasting hot cross buns, Sir David Beckham had an altogether busier Easter as he visited the King before flying to Florida for a new sporting chapter.
The former footballer spent the weekend working on two different creative projects in his role as an ambassador for The King’s Foundation charity and as co-owner of Inter Miami soccer club, which celebrated its first match at the freshly opened Nu Stadium.
The King invited David, alongside the broadcaster Alan Titchmarsh, to his private residence at Highgrove as they oversaw a plan for the King’s Foundation’s new garden, which will be on view at the Chelsea Flower Show in May.
The garden designer Frances Tophill showed the trio how she had incorporated their ideas in…
VISCOUNTESS IN WAITING
It’s a beautiful spring day in London’s Fitzrovia and Lady Violet Manners – now Viscountess Garnock – exudes radiance as she poses in an elegant Richard Quinn dress outside the luxury Charlotte Street Hotel.
In the second trimester of her pregnancy – and visibly glowing – Violet, along with her husband, William Lindesay-Bethune, Viscount Garnock, is full of excitement as the couple await the arrival of their first child together, due in early July. “I’m feeling really good,” Violet says. “I’ve just started getting kicks; it’s exciting.”
Violet, 32, the daughter of the 11th Duke of Rutland and the Duchess of Rutland, and William, 35, the son of the 16th Earl of Lindsay and the Countess of Lindsay, shared the news with HELLO! in March.
Now, they are opening up…
‘THERE IS A LOT OF LOVE IN OLD AGE’
Dame Prue Leith may have cracked the secret to ageing well. “I eat well, I sleep well – and I love well,” smiles the TV presenter, writer and cook. Her new book, Being Old… and Learning to Love It!, offers a much-needed alternative perspective to the old adage that ageing isn’t fun.
“Love is such an important part of everybody’s happiness. I don’t think you can be happy without love,” says Prue, 86. This can be a passion for “something that really motivates you, whether it’s oak trees or breeding dogs, but you have to have something that you really love”.
Prue’s first husband, Rayne Kruger, died in 2002, aged 80, when she was 62. He had been the husband of her mother’s best friend, and they had had an…
‘THERE’S BEEN A LOT OF TALK’
Hana Cross is in full model mode. The Yorkshire-born, Cotswolds-raised fashion figure is preparing to fly to Los Angeles for work – she’ll be based in the city for the next few months – and is excited about beginning a new era.
Before she jets off, HELLO! catches up with her for an exclusive photoshoot. Hana arrives in style at the grand headquarters of Trinity House, a charity dedicated to safeguarding seafarers. The organisation’s Grade I-listed building is renowned for its historic, luxurious rooms overlooking the Tower of London.
On the set, Hana, 28, who has modelled for the likes of Valentino and Missoni, is assured and instinctive, with a clear sense of what works for her and what doesn’t.
It’s a quiet confidence that belies the intensity of her…
NEW JEWELS IN THE CROWN
Stepping out in the spring sunshine, the Wales siblings looked poised and polished – and offered a glimpse of their evolving personalities – as they joined their parents, the Prince and the Princess of Wales, with the family’s close bond unmistakable.
Dressed in classic outfits that also subtly expressed their individuality, Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, ten, and Prince Louis, who turns eight next week, took centre stage as they attended the royal family’s traditional Easter Sunday outing to St George’s Chapel in Windsor.
It had been three years since their last appearance at the annual Easter Matins service – though less than four months since royal‑watchers saw them at Sandringham at Christmas – and the children have visibly grown and matured.
George appeared to be almost as tall as…

PRINCESS SIRIVANNAVARI OF THAILAND
A display of traditional Thai costumes at the Hotel Des Indes in The Hague formed the backdrop to Princess Sirivannavari’s visit to lobby for Unesco to recognise Thai dress on its cultural heritage list. The Princess, a horsewoman, fashion designer and general in the Royal Thai Army, is said to be a contender to succeed her father Rama X, who has not yet named his heir.
THE PRINCESS ROYAL
Dressed in an orange overcoat and Fairfax & Favor knee-high leather boots, the Princess Royal joined racegoers on the first day of racing at Aintree ahead of the Grand National. She combined her trip to Liverpool with a visit to meet veterans living in supported accommodation at Speke House, run by the charity Launchpad.

THE PRIVATE QUEEN
In the last summer of her life, Queen Elizabeth II wanted to say goodbye. After leaving Windsor for the final time in 2022, having already said farewell to her beloved pony Emma, she requested that the youngest members of her family join her at Balmoral one last time.
A precious moment was captured on camera by Kate, then the Duchess of Cambridge, leaving the young children with a poignant souvenir of their great-grandmother’s love for them.
“She was very keen that all of the great-grandchildren should have a nice, happy memory of her, so she wanted them all to come up to Balmoral,” the royal author Robert Hardman told the audience at an exclusive live recording of HELLO!’s A Right Royal Podcast last week. “It was a sadness that [the…
FAMILY FARE
The celebrity nutritionist Gabriela Peacock has already peeked inside the fridges of Dame Joan Collins and Kelly Hoppen as part of HELLO!’s Don’t Judge Me series – but this week’s guest, Leonora Bamford, certainly presents the tidiest culinary display.
Leonora is the founder of the parenting site My Baba, co-founder of the children’s probiotics brand Baba West and daughter-in-law of Lord and Lady Bamford, the dynasty behind the JCB and Daylesford Organic empires. Here, she welcomes Gabriela into the beautiful open-plan kitchen at the house in the Cotswolds that she shares with her husband, George Bamford, the owner of Bamford Watch Department, and their three children.
Most people find it almost impossible to keep the fridge tidy in a family home, but not Leonora. “I do have OCD; that’s why…
