‘THE MOST BEAUTIFUL VIEW IN GSTAAD’
JULIE ANDREWS ONCE PRAISED GSTAAD AS ‘THE LAST PARADISE’ Film-maker Tara DuRoss’s affection for Gstaad sees her join a myriad of movie-world fans of the famous Swiss resort.
After all, it was actresses Grace Kelly and Elizabeth Taylor who first put its pristine ski slopes on the map, while another Hollywood star, Julie Andrews, once praised the place as “the last paradise”.
But as 28-year-old Tara welcomes us to her godfathers’ fabulous villa there, she says that what she most appreciates is simply spending time with two of her favourite people.
Interior designer Emmanuel de Bayser and his partner, producer Josef Voelk, are co-founders of The Square Berlin, a cult fashion and lifestyle boutique in the German capital.
Irish-American Tara, who is the step-grand-daughter of automobile magnate Henry Ford II,…
FAMILY BUSINESS
Onlookers at a dinner at stylish restaurant Isabel Mayfair, held during London Fashion Week to celebrate Donna Karan’s spring 2025 collection, could have been forgiven for doing a double take.
Posing for a photo were two willowy blondes with the same high cheekbones, both wearing stilettos and little black dresses: British supermodel Kate Moss and her model daughter Lila.
Whether rocking sheer lace gowns, matching in platform heels at designer friend Marc Jacobs’s wedding or styling out leather jackets at Glastonbury, Kate, 51, and Lila, 22, always offer a masterclass in mother-daughter dressing.
Lila takes more than inspiration from her mother’s wardrobe – sometimes she takes the actual clothes. Earlier this month, she cut a stylish figure in Kate’s leopard-print jacket from 2006 as she left a dinner hosted by…

THE INSIDE STORY
GAGA IS LADY IN RED AS SHE TALKS ‘BREAKING RULES’
Lady Gaga has described her new album Mayhem as “a series of gothic dreams made into a celebration” – and the same could be said of her outfit choices at the iHeartRadio Music Awards in Los Angeles.
Collecting her Innovator Award from rapper Doechii, Gaga wore Victoriana-inspired floor-length scarlet ruffles from Alexander McQueen’s autumn/winter 2025-26 catwalk show at Paris Fashion Week.
It was not her only look of the night. Earlier, she had showcased a freshly minted all-black Stella McCartney lace mini dress, which also debuted in the French capital last month.
Accepting the award, Lady Gaga told the audience at the Dolby Theater: “Innovation isn’t about breaking rules, it’s about writing your own. The most powerful innovation is your…

‘I DON’T WANT THEM TO WORRY ABOUT ME’
Tucked away in a cosy room in a private members’ club in Soho, Davina McCall reaches for another tissue to blow her nose.
“I won’t hug you; I’ve got a stinking cold,” she apologises with a smile.
Most people would have called into work sick, but this powerhouse of a woman has just finished hosting a luncheon for 20 celebrity friends, fellow menopause activists and supportive boyfriend Michael Douglas to announce her latest role – ambassador for Ancient + Brave supplements – with all the vim and vigour she projects on TV.
Now, with Mother’s Day approaching, Davina reflects on the impact that the life-threatening surgery she underwent last year has had on her and her family, who have supported her back to health.
The “firm but fair” mother of…
THINKING THE UNTHINKABLE
It’s not just parents gripped and horrified by actor Stephen Graham’s new thriller Adolescence, about how a family’s world is turned upside down when their 13-year-old son is arrested for the murder of a teenage girl at his school.
The “well, that would never happen to us” scenario that could all-too-easily happen to anyone has been a clear No. 1 on Netflix since its release, amassing 24.3 million streams in its first four days.
Instead of using a familiar trope of abusive parents being to blame, Stephen – who co-wrote the Netflix drama with Jack Thorne – has carefully portrayed the family as one that looks like any other, with regular, hard-working, loving parents.
“What’s happening here is an ordinary family’s worst nightmare,” says Stephen, who, after playing a troubled…

LILY ALLEN
Singer hoping to release new music this year
Lily Allen has teased fans with the prospect of a new album this year. The Smile singer, 39, said that she is “trying to manifest” the record, adding: “I’m going to do some more writing, then I’m going to do my play [starring in Hedda at the Theatre Royal Bath] – hopefully, maybe get an album out by the end of the year. That would be nice.”
Last year, Lily revealed that she had been working on new material in Nashville, Tennessee. Her most recent album, No Shame, was released in 2018 and peaked at No. 8 in the UK. The news follows the confirmation in February of the singer’s split from her husband, actor David Harbour.

‘GEORGE FINDS IT FASCINATING’
With a smile that said she was glad to be back, the Princess of Wales was in the mood to celebrate as she joined the Irish Guards for their annual St Patrick’s Day Parade.
Taking part for the first time since 2023, their royal colonel cheerfully handed out shamrocks to guardsmen and officers, also putting money behind the bar for them to enjoy a drink afterwards. “It’s the least I could do,” she said.
The Princess, who wore a bottle-green Alexander McQueen coat and matching hat by Lock & Co, with a gold shamrock brooch of the Irish Guards pinned above her own sprig of shamrock, later sipped from a half-pint of Guinness as Guardsman Barry Loughlin raised a toast to her, leading the room in three cheers.
She then…
